No other area of Brisbane can match Kangaroo Point for its location and natural beauty. Featuring unmatched river and city views, the beautiful Kangaroo Point cliffs and of course Brisbane’s most recognisable icon, the famous Story Bridge. Kangaroo Point is home to the largest number of holiday and residential towers in Brisbane, and it’s no surprise given the area’s close proximity to the CBD and easy access to the highways leading to both the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast.
If you are planning a stay in Brisbane, whether it’s for work or pleasure, there is no better location than Kangaroo Point. Kangaroo Point is not only handy to some of Brisbane’s best attractions, but it’s also home to some of Brisbane’s best attractions! The Story Bridge Adventure Climb allows visitors to climb the iconic Story Bridge, where you will be rewarded with amazing views of Brisbane River, the beautiful city skyline and surrounding areas.
We’ve recently had a great review of the bridge climb added to the site which you can read here. The Kangaroo Point cliffs are a hive of activity, with plenty of parklands available for picnics and relaxing. The cliffs are also well known for climbing and are very popular with climbers from all over the country. Below the cliffs, you will find the award-winning Riverlife adventure group. Riverlife offers a huge range of activities, from kayaking down the Brisbane River to climbing the famous Kangaroo Point cliffs.
You will never be short of somewhere to eat in Kangaroo Point. A large number of holiday complexes in the area means there are plenty of restaurants around, and the area is also home to a number of well-known pubs that serve up some amazing food. Tucked under the Story Bridge is the Story Bridge Hotel. This is one of the premier venues in Brisbane, especially after its recent refurbishment.
Also in Kangaroo Point is the Pineapple Hotel, which is famous for its steaks and relaxed atmosphere. Of course, if you’re after something a little more simple there is every fast food and takeaway shop you could imagine down Main St and the surrounding areas.
